Hyderabad: Amazon MX Player’s inaugural StreamNext event, featuring global marketing leaders like Sir Martin Sorrell and Benedict Evans, revealed a game-changing vision for India’s content consumption. With over 100 new shows slated for 2025, including 40 new Hindi originals and returning fan favorites such as Aashram and Hunter, the platform continues to expand its reach.
Girish Prabhu, Head of Amazon Ads India, highlighted the importance of ad tech in connecting brands with over 250 million unique users across India, emphasising “full funnel advertising.” The event also showcased the service’s diverse content offerings, from hit originals to international K-dramas and Turkish shows, all available for free. Karan Bedi, Head of Amazon MX Player, noted that the app has amassed over 1.4 billion downloads and is one of the most accessible entertainment services in the country.
The platform's expansion into interactive, shoppable ads, which boast significantly higher viewer engagement, promises to transform advertising experiences. With a massive catalog and unique insights, Amazon MX Player is set to lead the shift from traditional TV to streaming.
